Early intervention

While dealing with pain can be difficult for employees, pain doesn’t always equal injury. Muscles and bones are very resilient, but are susceptible to discomfort without any injury actually having occurred. This type of pain can be managed in a way that allows employees to continue to work.

By engaging your employees early on, we empower them to take an active role in their health by self-managing pain whilst maintaining their ability to work.  Because every person has unique challenges, we offer tailored assessments of employees and their worksite as well as personal onsite treatment.

Individual Discomfort and Pain Assessments

  • Recognise and evaluate the severity of pain symptoms.

  • Review potential contributing factors such as workload, task organization and workstation set up.

  • Evaluate and eliminate potential hazards or barriers for an employee to sustain their work tasks.

  • Consider individual and non-work factors to help staff develop strategies to self manage their pain.

  • Support and educate on strategies to self-manage pain. This minimises development of injury and allows a staff member to remain on normal duties.

Onsite Physiotherapy Sessions

  • Schedule regular visits by experienced physiotherapist as necessary to provide hands-on services including physical assessment, soft tissue work and exercise provision.

  • Support and educate on strategies to self-manage pain. This minimises development of injury and allows a staff member to remain on normal duties.

  • Review by an on-site physiotherapist, educating workers on postural and movement techniques such as lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching and other manual activities.

  • Handover to management after each session. In particular, reports will cover any onwards referrals that may be required and possible alterations of an employee’s duties.
